SUSTAINABLE & ECO-FRIENDLY PRACTICES
“I grew up in the beautiful countryside of rural Japan, which instilled in me a deep respect for nature. I’ve always believed in taking only what’s necessary from the environment, with a commitment to giving back whenever possible. My goal has always been to contribute, even in small ways, to both society and the environment that provide us with so much. I aim to positively influence others by promoting a healthy, sustainable lifestyle. Even as a small business, we can take meaningful steps to help the environment and support a healthier community. That's why we prioritize eco-friendly and sustainable products in everything we do.”—Miki, Founder/Designer of Reminisse
Sustainable Materials Selection
We prioritize materials that are sustainable, recyclable, or biodegradable to minimize our environmental impact. Our packaging incorporates recycled paper, organic fabrics, and other low-impact materials. While some fabrics we use, like organic cotton, are eco-friendly, achieving full sustainability can be a challenge. However, we are committed to continuous improvement, striving to reduce our footprint on the environment. For instance, biodegradable products can naturally return to the earth without causing harm.
Eco-Friendly Packaging
We use FSC-certified, recycled, and biodegradable packaging to ensure our materials are environmentally responsible. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) promotes sustainable forest management, and by using certified materials, we support these global efforts.
In addition to packaging, our FSC-certified papers and stickers maintain both high environmental standards and excellent print quality.
Sustainable Manufacturing Practices
We prioritize working with manufacturers who are committed to eco-friendly practices, including low-energy consumption and minimal waste production. We are open to new manifactueres who are align with our practices and explore the best possible places for all the productions.
Ethical Sourcing
Our products are vegan and cruelty-free—we do not conduct animal testing, nor do we use animal furs. While we currently do not offer leather products, we plan to incorporate faux leather or plant-based fabrics in the future. We are committed to ensuring that all materials are ethically sourced, minimizing environmental impact while upholding fair labor practices throughout our supply chain.
Continuous Learning and Adaptation
We stay open to the latest trends and innovations in sustainable design and environmental practices. As new knowledge and technologies emerge, we are committed to integrating them into our business to further enhance our sustainability efforts.
